The International Friends are delighted to welcome you back to the Mauritshuis. And what better way to begin our new season than with the latest findings from the restoration work currently going on with this much-loved masterpiece by Paulus Potter, The Bull.
Conservation team, Abbie Vandivere and Jolijn Schilder are currently to be seen, hard at work within the glass lab, specially constructed around this huge painting in Room 2. The restoration project began earlier this year and will continue well into 2025. We are delighted that both Abbie and Jolijn will join us in the Nassauzaal to tell us all about their research discoveries as they examine, clean and repair this massive painting - 2 by 3 metres in size.
Please note that this is the first evening lecture following our newly revised format. We will begin in the Brasserie with refreshments available from 18:00 till 18:45 before heading up to the Nassauzaal with its impressive new audio-visual system. After their talk, we have also organised a Q&A session with Abbie and Jolijn.
