Jan Baptist Xavery
Bust of Stadholder William IV (1711-1751)
Prince Willem IV of Orange had this bust made by the Antwerp sculptor Xavery in 1733. A couple of years later, he also commissioned a bust of his wife Anne of Hannover. Her bust is also exhibited in this room.
Willem IV added some exceptional paintings to the collection of the Orange family, including The Bull by Paulus Potter.
