Tram or bus
You can also opt to take the bus or tram from The Hague Central Station (tram 2, 4, 15 of 16 or bus 28). Get off at the Spui or Korte Voorhout stop. It’s about a five-minute walk from both stops.
The easiest way to reach the museum from The Hague Hollands Spoor station is by tram (tram 1, 9 or 16). Get off at the Centrum or Kalvermarkt-Stadhuis stop. It’s about a six-minute walk from both stops.
RandstadRail
Are you travelling by RET RandstadRail (metro line E)? Then you will need to get off at the Hague Central station stop. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the Mauritshuis or the Prince William V Gallery. Simply follow the 'Mauritshuis' signs.
Car
If you are travelling by car, you will arrive via the A4 (Amsterdam – Delft), the A12 (Arnhem/Utrecht – The Hague) or the N44 (Nieuw Vennep – The Hague). Simply follow the 'Centrum' signs and then the Mauritshuis signs.
Environmental Zone
Good to know: the Mauritshuis is located in the environmental zone in The Hague. This means that you cannot drive directly to the Mauritshuis with a passenger vehicle or delivery van of emission class 3 or lower.
Please check the emission class of your car on www.milieuzones.nl/check. Is your car emission class 3 or lower? If so, we recommend that you use the Malieveld parking garage. This garage is located just outside the environmental zone. It’s only a 10-minute walk from there to the Mauritshuis.
