This evening, the Mauritshuis transforms into a unique pop-up tattoo studio! TEAM TROBBIES will bring the museum collection to life in their own distinctive style with special flash sheets. From €100,- you can have a unique piece of art immortalized on your skin. Reservations can be made directly with the tattoo artists. Drawing workshop

In the Golden Room, you can attend a life drawing workshop led by interdisciplinary artist Valentijn. At a fast pace, you will practice observing and drawing human forms. In addition to being a visual artist, Valentijn is also a drag artist and co-founder of Haus of 4D, where performers create space for experiments with gender and identity.

Due to the model's privacy, photography and filming are not allowed during this workshop.

Step into a Jan Steen painting

Recreate with your friends the lively scene from Jan Steen’s As the Old Sing, So Pipe the Young. In our Art Workshop, you’ll find the painting in life-size format. And the festive family? That’s where you come in! Dress up with some 17th-century accessories and strike a pose!

Taste the painting

In the Brasserie, you’ll learn more about the painting Still Life with Cheeses, Almonds and Pretzels by Clara Peeters. An art historian from the Mauritshuis will talk about the artwork, and of course, a cheese tasting is not to be missed.

Immerse yourself in the 18th-century art scene at this hidden gem in The Hague. In 1774, Price William V made his art collection accessible to the public, creating the first museum in the Netherlands! Explore the walls packed with paintings and ask our guides anything you want to know about this unique location and its artworks.
