The Mauritshuis is one of Europe’s most important centres of expertise specialising in 17th-century painting. Our technical investigations are world-renowned. Conversation
Our conservation workshop is in the attic of the Mauritshuis. There, conservators use cameras, microscopes, UV light and the latest technologies to reveal the secrets hidden between the layers of paint. You can help us by contributing to our conservation projects.
